ABOUT US
OUR STORY - PROJECT FAIR CHANCE
“As COVID-19 completely changed our world as we know it, I had time to think about what I was grateful for during these unsettling times. I was grateful to have a home and a family to support me. I was grateful to have access to the internet and have my own device to stay connected with my peers. I was grateful to continue to be able to pursue my academic goals and career aspirations through virtual learning. Through social media and news outlets, I quickly became aware that there were many children around the world who weren’t able to experience the pandemic with the amount of privilege that I was given. Kids had been living this way before COVID-19, and were at an extreme disadvantage when it came to have the necessary resources to stay safe during this time. It was then when I realized that every child deserved to live like I do: with access to education and healthcare. Orphanages and child-care centers across the globe might not have enough funding to support all of their children. Project Fair Chance is an organization that helps these charities reach out to as many kids as possible. I am endlessly grateful for everything I get to experience on a daily basis, and knowing that underprivileged children can have some of the same options as me is amazing.”
